The most comprehensive nutritional assessment is done in person. However, with a complete medical exam prior to our call a phone consult is available. Parents would be expected to fill out the complete nutrition assessment form and EDGE document. Growth records and blood work should be sent in advance of the phone appointment. If desired, a complete nutrition assessment and treatment plan will be sent to providers with appropriate release of information. Consultation will provide help with meal planning, caloric density, snack ideas, estimation of target weight and tools for parents in the early stage of nutrition restoration. Later consultation may include teens in recovery moving back to sports and normal eating.
